The profile of characters and monsters is provided in the following format:
Name. STR: 6, AGI: 8, WIT: 10. Size: small. Health: 9. Mana: 1. Omens: 1. Traits: undead, flyer (swooping). Skills: skilled blow, tough. Items: simple hand weapon (dagger), shield.
Special trait: details.
Description.
Size is omitted if medium. Health is omitted if equal to STR. Mana and omens are omitted if equal to 0.
Folks
All humanoid kins who inhabit the world, besides humans. They form their own communities and are a rare sight within the Kingdom.
The profiles show the average ability scores, which can vary just like for human characters. The minimum score is the given one minus 3 (minimum 1), and the maximum score is the given one plus 7 (maximum 19). No skills or assets are shown, as those depend on the character’s career just like human characters.
Elf. STR: 8, AGI: 10, WIT: 10. Mana: 1.
Dexterous and wise, they look like tall, beautiful, flawless humans. They are known for their pride and arrogance, which in turn makes them subject of dislike from the other kins.
Dwarf. STR: 10, AGI: 6, WIT: 8.
Short and stocky, clumsy but strong. They live reclusively in underground cities and are known for their craftsmanship and love for good ale.
Halfling. STR: 6, AGI: 10, WIT: 8.
Small and frail, but extremely nimble. Halfling communities are small and live a simple life, trying to keep distance from the chaotic outside world.
Ogre. STR: 12, AGI: 6, WIT: 6. Traits: dim-witted, sturdy.
Giant mountains of muscle. Not the brightest nor the most agile, but their brawn serves them well in many occasions.
Reanimated corpses
Dead bodies dragged back to unlife by vile sorcery. A reanimated corpse obeys the sorcerer who created it, without question. You can build the profile of a reanimated corpse starting from any creature using these rules:
Halve AGI and set WIT to 2.
Lose all skills.
Acquire the frightening (terrifying if already frightening), mindless, and undead traits.
Bone raven. STR: 4, AGI: 6, WIT: 2. Size: small. Traits: fast, frightening, mindless, flyer (swooping), undead, weapon (beak & talons, d6).
A dead raven, empty-eyed, bones carrying rotting flesh.
Shambling corpse. STR: 8, AGI: 4, WIT: 2. Traits: frightening, mindless, undead.
A corpse reanimated by dark magic, left to rot.
Skeletal warrior. STR: 8, AGI: 4, WIT: 2. Traits: frightening, mindless, undead. Items: martial hand weapon (d6), shield.
An ancient body awakened to serve as an immortal warrior.
Demons
Demons are the product of pure chaos, denizens of an alternate dimension. Each one is different and unique in its own way, and can never truly be destroyed, only banished back to where it came from.
The Bloodletter. STR: 16, AGI: 8, WIT: 8. Traits: demon, frightening, permanent condition (frenzied). Skills: skilled blow, brawling. Items: martial great weapon (master-crafted, demonic greatsword).
A large horned man brandishing a giant sword, his skin constantly exuding fresh blood. Collects the skulls of slain mortals.
The Corrupter. STR: 8, AGI: 8, WIT: 16. Traits: demon, power (bewitch – 4 EP), weapon (barbed tongue-whip, d4, grab). Skills: charm, music.
Takes the form of the most attractive creature which the observer can possibly imagine. Wants to corrupt the pure.
The Horror. STR: 8, AGI: 16, WIT: 8. Traits: corrupting (2), demon, frightening, split, weapon (claws, d6), weapon (eldritch fire, d6, range 8). Skills: dodge blows, erudition.
A mess of flesh and bones, shifting in shape and bright colours. Sees mortals as clay to be mould.
The Plague Brewer. STR: 12, AGI: 4, WIT: 12. Traits: demon, frightening, armour (bloated flesh, 1). Skills: apothecary, poisons. Items: clothes (filthy hooded cloak), simple hand weapon (rusty dagger), disease vial (black gangrene), disease vial (greater rot).
A skull-faced man with horribly bloated skin, covered in pustules and boils. Creates new diseases and experiments on humans.
Monsters
Mighty and ferocious creatures of legend. Few survive to tell the tale of an encounter with such forces of nature!
Troll. STR: 12, AGI: 4, WIT: 4. Size: large. Traits: dim-witted, frightening, regeneration, armour (thick skin, 1). Items: simple great weapon (d6, an extremely large club, impossible to wield for a medium-sized character).
A large, brutish, humanoid monster, capable of quick regeneration. Lives in swamps and feasts on rotten meat.
Wyrm. STR: 16, AGI: 4, WIT: 8. Size: large. Traits: beast, frightening, flyer (landing), armour (scales, 2), weapon (bite, talons, & tail, d8), weapon (fire breath, d6, range 2, blast, fire damage, usage limit: once per stretch).
A gigantic lizard-like winged creature, capable of breathing fire.
